Lift us up, O Lord.

God,

Are you on our side, like the song that I'm listening to right now says? I feel like you are witholding comfort from us right now. You've turned our lives upside down with Joe almost dying and taking away everything we had. Now, we are both here in the US and having a hard time looking for a job that will sustain our daily living. We live with Joe's parents are are dependent on them for every move we make.

Lord, please lift us up from the pits right now and give us relief from our trials and tribulations. Lord, we need you so much and we need Your hand to please lift us up. The Bible says that honor and riches come from you and it is at your discretion that people are made great and low. Lord, I know that you are in total control of our circumstance. I know that You have the power to change our circumstance. Lord, please rescue us.

Father, the song says that you are good all the time. I know you are but I don't always understand Your ways. Lord, please show Joe and I your faithfulness in every circumstance. Lord, please strengthen Joe and I to have faith in You.

I pray for Joe to have confidence in You and in himself and in the opportunity that You have given Him. Lord, please help us see and feel your caring hands despite our challenging situations right now. Please comfort Joe and strengthen his will and His faith in You and please lift his spirits up because he is usually sad and distraught. He has not experienced suffering before and now that he is experiencing it, he it really having a hard time.

I have a hard time too Lord. I don't know how to encourage Joe while I too need to keep courage that I'll find a job soon. Please help me Lord. I need You. We need You.
